Bolga Baskets |
These beautiful baskets are hand woven by a Fair Trade Women's Cooperative in Boltanga, Ghana, Africa. They are made of a sustainable, renewable resource of elephant grass which strengthens when wetted and properly air and sun dried. You may purchase a basket at Thursday market while they last. The next collection is due for October 8th...if they don't arrive by that day they will be here for the following week. All proceeds from the basket sales first go to the women's cooerative who created them and a small profit is shared between the Plymouth Farmers Market and our host community group. Our host community group for October is Plymouth Family Network. This organization is dedicated to strengthening families in Plymouth by providing educational resources and guidance to all families, regardless of income.
